They might be called thumpers, but, my 1980 Honda dual sport with a wiseco 10.5/1 piston has been clocked, with street gears, at 105 with off road tires. It even handles in the mountains. A very nice bike.

Perhaps you should make one with the centre cylinder twice the capacity of the outer two (for better balancing) with the centre cylinder having 4 valves per cylinder, and the outer tow cylinders having two valves. That would be an odd engine.

brings back memories of when I had a yamaha TT500 single cylinder motorcycle , it had all kinds of power.

That 180° camshaft produced most unique sound, It is almost comparable to a 2stroke sound and characteristics.

Ive only ever seen one in person. They're gorgeous!

I alwways wanted a Jota (but could never afford one) as they had the power of the japanese 4's but the handling of the good british twins, loved the sound of the 180's but preferred the smoothness of the 120's, nowadays I spend my time packing Laverda combines into containers for export to developing countries, funny old life innit.

That stupid -why does anybody need steel tubing that long? Just use 3.6 metetre lengths and weld them together.and as for railway tracks,well they have a special train for that so I can't see any other purpose to have a road vehicle like this.
